- Do not install Oracle Database 10g Release 2 on Windows Server 2008, Server 2008 R2, 7, nor Vista using the 10.2.0.1 version. You must use the 10.2.0.4 (64-bit) x64 version specifically created for these operating systems. After installation, for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2, patchset 10.2.0.5 or higher must be applied.
